I turned 50 this past year on December 18, 2017. I used to think that was old, so I guess I am old. I don’t feel old. But, I feel I have earned every bit of that age for better or worse. I coined the phrase, “Standing on the Edge of the Rest of My Life” in college. I thought it would make for a nice title to something and at the time I was big into documenting my life in my journals. Thank God I have bad handwriting. I don’t think even I could decipher what is in the pages of those journals. So this phrase has rattled around in this brain of mine for 25+ years until now.

I made a goal this year that I would write my story. We will see where this takes me, what I find, remember, figure out and come to terms with as a result. Fun? OK. Interesting, for sure. Eye opening, absolutely. I added “The Ramblings of a 50 year old man” because well……
